Phil Foden has now won it all with Manchester City.

At just 23, the England international has already lifted 14 major honours comprising of five Premier League titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups and Community Shields and a Champions League.

In 2022, our No.47 sat down with former City players Nedum Onuoha and Shaun Wright-Phillips - who like Foden came through the ranks at the Club - to take a trip down memory lane.

In his early days you could see the natural talent that Foden possessed, with a clip from his youth highlighting his skills.

His hard work through the ranks saw him rewarded with a first team start in a pre-season friendly against Manchester United in Houston in 2017, with the footballing world getting a glimpse of a new emerging City talent.

From there, the rest is history.

From his first goal at Oxford United in the EFL Cup to more recent strikes, including his first hat-trick and derby day goals in a 6-3 win over Manchester United – Foden, Onuoha and Wright-Phillips assess the lot.

Looking back on his debut against United and his senior competitive debut in the Champions League, Foden said: “I was training with them [the first team] at 15/16, I remember the day before he [Pep Guardiola] told me that I was playing against United.

“I was just so nervous, but when you get that first touch in the game – you just think, I’ve been doing this all my life and it becomes normal to you.

“I made my debut in pre-season but there is a difference to making your debut in pre-season and the Champions League.

“When I got the opportunity to come on in what I believe is the biggest competition, it was such a proud moment for me, for how hard I worked growing up in the Academy, to say that I finally made it out onto the pitch was special for me and my family.”
