Phil Foden says the 2023/24 campaign represented the best individual term of his sparkling career so far.

Following the conclusion of the historic year for Pep Guardiola’s side, our Academy graduate was voted Etihad Player of the Season.

It comes after he was named the Premier League Player of the Season and Football Writers’ Association Men’s Footballer of the Year after helping Pep Guardiola’s side to our fourth straight Premier League title and UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup successes.

Across 53 outings, he scored 27 goals and registered 12 assists in all competitions.

And he thanked his team-mates and our devoted supporters for their vital support during the season after collecting his latest accolade.

“I believe it’s been my best season,” he declared.

“I think I’ve helped the team in important games by scoring important goals and I’m happy with how the season has gone.

“I want to say thank you, I couldn’t do it without my team-mates and the fans who voted for me as well.

“I’m really happy with the season I’ve had and I wasn’t to continue now putting in performances like I’ve been doing.

“Moving into the centre has helped my game come on loads, I can get on the ball and influence it more.

“Some of that I’ve enjoyed a lot and that’s where I see myself, hopefully in the future, playing there more.”
