As we say farewell and thank you to Japan, go behind-the-scenes on the second half of our week in Tokyo.

The first three and a half days, including our meeting with CFG sister club Yokohama F. Marinos, are covered in part one of our Inside City special.

This episode focuses on everything since that 5-3 victory over the J1 League champions.

HOW TO FOLLOW CITY’S 2023 ASIA TOUR

While Pep Guardiola is working his players hard ahead of the start of the 2023/24 campaign, they have still had some time to enjoy the bustling metropolis and its unique culture.

Erling Haaland and John Stones made the most of the fine weather, taking in the sights at the beautiful Hamarikyu Gardens at the heart of the city.

The pair were also busy meeting fans, handing out Mancunian food favourites like pies, mushy peas and chips to locals alongside Cole Palmer and Kalvin Phillips.

Meanwhile, our Esports team took over the gaming space at the iconic Tokyo Tower.

Presenter Kacee gave a tour of the facilities to James McAtee, Rico Lewis and Phillips before they took each other on in augmented reality games.

But then it was down to business with an open training session at the Japan National Stadium.

24 hours ahead of facing Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, Guardiola put his players through their paces before meeting many of the hundreds of fans in attendance.

That included Kevin De Bruyne, who is on the road to recovery from the hamstring injury that forced him off in the first half of last month’s Champions League final.

We returned to the arena the following day to play Thomas Tuchel’s team and our Inside City cameras were there to capture what the public couldn’t see.
