Erling Haaland has paid tribute to Stefan Ortega Moreno following the German’s heroics in our crucial 2-0 win over Spurs.

Either side of the Norwegian’s strikes in the capital, the goalkeeper replaced the injured Ederson in the second half and produced two phenomenal saves to preserve our lead.

The first denied Dejan Kulusevski from close range before he thwarted Heung-min Son’s effort after the latter broke into the box and had the goal at his mercy.

The victory means Pep Guardiola’s know three points in our final league fixture of 2023/24 – a clash with West Ham at the Etihad Stadium – will secure a record fourth straight Premier League title.

And the Norway international hailed Ortega Moreno’s performance and the team’s mentality as our meeting with David Moyes’ side comes into focus.

Ederson was fantastic today and Ortega was Man of the Match. What can I say? He’s incredible and such a good guy as well so I’m happy for him,” Haaland declared.

“[The team has a] fantastic mentality. We have to focus game by game and now relax and focus on the next one.

“I think we were a bit nervous and that’s normal, there were a lot of emotions for everyone. Everyone knows the situation. It’s about not thinking too much and focusing on things to do and try to win.

“I try to do my job and Kevin found me. Jeremy did a fantastic job there and we win – that’s the only thing.

“We came here to try to win and we won. Focus on the next game and try not to think too much. Let’s get all together and finish this.”
