Our boss addressed the media for the first time on Friday as part of his unveiling as the Club’s new manager.
This is Maresca’s third time back at the City Football Academy following previous roles with the Elite Development Squad and First-Team coaching staff.
Now, he returns as Pep Guardiola’s predecessor after the Catalan called time on his stint in Manchester after a decorated decade.
And after a week of pre-season preparations ahead of his debut season at the helm, Maresca confirmed that there is nowhere else he would rather be.
“I know quite well the organisation,” began Maresca.
“I know the people from inside the Club from years ago. The structure of the Club and when a club change three manager in almost 20 years, it shows how serious the structure is and they understand to give time for everything.
“Since City contacted me, I had no doubt about joining this fantastic club.”

Premier League 2026/27 home tickets now on sale
General admission tickets for Manchester City’s home 2026/27 Premier League fixtures are now on sale to Premium, Matchday and Junior Members.
Season Ticket Members, meanwhile, are now also able to purchase additional tickets for selected games.
Premier League match-by-match ticket prices for junior and adult Matchday Members have been retained at the same rate for a third consecutive season.
