City face the Villans on Saturday with a 12:30 (UK) kick-off at Villa Park.
Ahead of our eighth Premier League clash this season, Maresca talked to journalists to preview the game.
The Blues have picked up a win in each outing so far with 3-2 and 3-0 victories over Ipswich and Liverpool respectively coming earlier this month.
The Midlands outfit, on the other hand have lost three games to date, but picked up positive results against Newcastle and Brentford already in October.
Following AEK Athens on Tuesday, City face another test in Villa, but said he’s been thrilled with the winning run his side have clocked up.
“I’m very happy,” he said.
“It’s a privilege for me.
“This organisation has done very good because in any club when you lose important players and the manager after 10 years, it always takes time to compete again but this organisation is competing at the moment.
“It’s a great achievement but we need to continue at this moment.”
Maresca was also questioned on if he believes City could go on to win the Premier League title following an impressive set of results, which has seen us go unbeaten so far.
“We won seven in a row but we want more,” he added.
“We will see game after game.”
