On this day in 2014, goals from Edin Dzeko and Yaya Toure saw Manchester City ease to victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Dzeko opened the scoring inside a minute, tapping in from close range after Samir Nasri’s effort rebounded off the post and into his path.
The Bosnian was then denied by a fine save from David De Gea, but displayed superb technique to add his and City’s second shortly after the break when guided Nasri’s corner home on the volley.
Toure gave the scoreline the gloss it deserved when he arrowed his 21st goal of the season into the bottom corner in stoppage time.
