The striker issued an apology ahead of his reintegration into the first team squad and, in a recent interview for a documentary celebrating the 10th anniversary of 93:20, he admitted he had no problems with his team-mates once he rejoined the group.
“Really good,” he said when asked about the welcome he received.
“Really good because the vast majority knew me and knew what I brought to the team so it was always a good one.
“After being champions, or after the first match back with some goals, I felt important again and that’s the most important part for the club.
“And for my team-mates, for me, Mancini and everybody.”
