Pep Guardiola says he hasn’t seen any evidence that fatigue is affecting his players.

With the World Cup ending two months ago, many managers have been wondering if there would be a toll on those who took part in the mid-season tournament.

But the City boss says it hasn’t been a major issue for his squad, at least so far.

“I didn’t see fatigue in the games,” said Pep.

“I didn’t see fatigue against Nottingham Forest, Arsenal, or Leipzig.

“For this number of games in short period, we did it in the past.

“We won four titles in one season, I’m sorry for our opponents and that means playing every three days, three days, three days.

“But the calendar after the World Cup is a little different and important players are injured.

“New players are adapting or thinking ‘I have to figure out already in the process’ like Kalvin, and Sergio and that’s why I decide what I decide.

“The fatigue always is there. On matchday behaving this way, it will not be a problem.”
