The 18-year-old put pen to paper in Manchester on Wednesday, signing a five-year deal with the club.
Since his senior debut for Lille at 16, it’s been a whirlwind couple of years for the exciting midfielder.
From his first professional game in Ligue 1 to an eye-catching maiden World Cup with Morocco earlier this summer, Bouaddi has quickly become a name to remember.
But the new City signing has his feet firmly grounded and credits the latest step in his journey to the safe surrounding and support his family provide him with.
“I wouldn’t be here without my family, so I am really happy to have them next to me,” said Bouaddi in his first interview with the Club.
“This is also why I am playing football, to make my family proud.
“I think the most important thing is to have balance and my family and parents are not always [about] football.
“It’s all the values that they teach me and it’s important to keep that.
“We need to be the same person with everybody, respect everyone, be myself, be yourself and just try to enjoy life.”
