It’s been quite the season for the Manchester City Academy.

Phil Foden won a host of awards for his performances across the 2023/24 campaign, including FWA Footballer of the Year, Premier League Player of the Season, Manchester City Etihad Player of the Year and Nissan Goal of the Season.

And who will forget the way he led by example in the must-win final day victory over West Ham United, bagging two early goals in the 3-1 that ensured we collected Four-in-a-Row.

Oscar Bobb enjoyed a breakthrough season, too, as he progressed into Pep Guardiola’s first team and also signed a new contract through to 2029.

He made his Premier League debut in the 5-1 win at home to Fulham and his Champions League debut in the 3-1 victory over Red Star Belgrade at the Etihad.

The 20-year-old bagged his first-ever Champions League goal, in the reverse fixture against Red Star, while the highlight of his season came courtesy of a last-gasp winner at Newcastle United, collecting Kevin De Bruyne’s throughball before finishing fantastically to ensure a 3-2 victory at St James Park.

Rico Lewis pushed on in 2023/24 at both domestic and international level.

He signed a new contract at the start of the season before scoring his first Premier League goal in the 2-2 home draw with Crystal Palace and excelled when called upon by Guardiola, who’s a big fan of the 19-year-old.

The versatile defender, who can also play in midfield, also made his debut for England, earning the Player of the Match award in the 1-1 draw with North Macedonia.

Micah Hamilton, meanwhile, was speechless as he thrived in the greatest moment of his career to date.

The flying winger made his professional debut in the Champions League group game away at Red Star Belgrade and scored in the 3-2 victory.

Add to that starlet seasons for youngsters Jacob Wright and Mahamadou Susoho and it’s clear the future is bright for the Blues.
