The Frenchman believes former City favourite Shaun Wright-Phillips was his most difficult man to mark because of his low centre of gravity and speed - qualities that wowed the Blues faithful for many years.

Clichy came up with a spot of magic himself against Burnley on 2 January, conjuring up a precision right-foot shot to give 10-man City the lead. It was his second goal of the season following his effort against Swansea in the League Cup.
