Man City Esports’ newest FC Pro Player, Donovan ‘Tekkz’ Hunt, has set his ambitions high ahead of the FC24 campaign.

The new City Pro Player, who will be featuring alongside Matias Bonanno throughout the 2023/24 campaign, wants to break records by securing his second ePremier League title.

Tekkz has competed in all five ePremier League seasons since its inception in 2019, winning the first one. And winning another could put his ambitions of also winning the EAFC World Championship within touching distance.

“The World Cup,” said Tekkz when asked what he would like achieve in FC24.

“That’s the one that sort of eludes me. So that’s the biggest goal. But to get to the World Cup, you need to either I think win the eChampions League or win the ePremier League. So we’ll start off with the ePremier League and finish with the World Cup.”

Hunt, the 11-time tournament winner, is one of the most exciting Pro Players in the UK scene.

And ahead of the new campaign, he has already met with his new teammate, Mati, and coach, Edu Castellano, as the trio begin preparations for the ePremier League.

“I have met with Mati and I’ve very excited to play with him,” said Tekkz. “I think if I give him a lead, it’s impossible to lose. So hopefully I can give him the 2-0 lead and we can win the games simply.

“I’ve worked with a coach a little bit in the past. I didn’t work with a coach until the end of last season and I sort of felt a little bit lost sometimes when I was playing.

“So I think a coach can help me just do the little things better and give me that extra like five to ten percent to hopefully stop losing in semi-finals and win some more tournaments.”
