Watch the extended highlights as City’s Under-19s maintained our unbeaten record in the UEFA Youth League with a 3-0 win over Young Boys.

Brian Barry-Murphy’s side entered the tie looking to strengthen our prospects of reaching the knockout stage after we gained seven points from our opening three Group G assignments.

It didn’t take long for the hosts at the Joie Stadium to break the deadlock when Reigan Heskey coolly slotted home from the penalty spot after the winger was brought down inside the box.

The 15-year-old’s strike represented his first for our U19s in his maiden appearance for Barry-Murphy’s team.

REPORT: CITY 3-0 YOUNG BOYS

In a match that ebbed and flowed, Mahamadou Susoho doubled our advantage with a smart free-kick 10 minutes before the interval which flew under the wall and wrong footed the visitors’ goalkeeper.

And we extended our lead further on the cusp of half-time when Matthew Henderson-Hall ghosted into the far post and calmly volleyed into the net from close range.

City were well worth our commanding position at the break which preceded a professional display in the second half as we secured another three points in the competition and took a step closer to the knockout phase.
