Watch the best of the action as Manchester City’s Under-19s opened our UEFA Youth League account on the front foot with a 5-2 victory over Red Star Belgrade.

The newly named Joie Stadium was the perfect setting for Brian Barry-Murphy’s side to begin their European journey and they did so in thrilling fashion.

Emilio Lawrence scored a brace either side of half-time following confident spells of possession by City who had a handful of opportune chances to take the lead before that 42nd minute breakthrough.

Shortly after Lawrence’s second in the 47th minute, striker Will Dickson added his name to the scoresheet to extend City’s lead.

Kane Taylor, who had been a towering force in midfield, bagged a goal for himself near the hour mark, netting direct from a corner kick.

Red Star narrowed the gap with goals from Jovan Mijatovic and Mateja Bunaji reducing the deficit with 10 minutes left to play.

However, substitute Jaden Heskey was teed up perfectly by Lawrence to score his first Youth League goal and round off an encouraging performance by the Under-19s.
