Head coach Ben Wilkinson spoke of his sense of pride on behalf of everyone at City’s Academy after watching his Under-18s clinch FA Youth Cup final glory with a resounding 4-0 win over Leeds at the Etihad.

Four second half goals from Justin Oboavwoduo, Jaden Heskey, Stephen Mfuni and Matty Warhurst secured what was the Club’s fourth FA Youth Cup success.

And for the delighted head coach it was an evening that served as a reward for everyone associated with City’s acclaimed Academy.

“To win the FA Youth Cup final is an amazing feeling,” Wilkinson said.

“It’s such a prestigious trophy and I’m delighted for everyone in the Academy as it’s such a team effort.

“So much effort has gone into the boys over the years from so many people.
