The Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong played host to our first set of match minutes under new manager Enzo Maresca.
It was a frantic opening 45 minutes in which Divin Mubama’s opening goal for City was cancelled out by Benjamin Pavard’s equaliser both inside the first 20 minutes.

The second half saw a flurry of changes and fresh faces all keen to impress Maresca, with plenty of chances for City with Savinho and Ryan McAidoo going closest to finding an important winning goal in the Asahi Super Dry Trophy.
But the match would require spot kicks, which Inter won 3-1, to see the Serie A side lift the trophy.
More importantly for City, however, Maresca was able to implement his ideas, see his players tally important time on the pitch - and all while wearing our new away kit for the 2026/27 season.
